I was invited to apply for the commission
What makes the RHSC such a special place to work?
It has a wonderful family atmosphere
Describe a typical day...
Awake 6am - two hours work before kids get up
8am - brekkie and kids to school
9am - emails etc
10-3pm - loud music and making pictures in my studio
3pm - kids home, so sorting them out, maybe taking them to the park with dog
5pm - partner home so more work
7pm - partner puts kids to bed and I cook dinner
10pm - bed
Why should people get involved?
I think it is fundamental that kids that are ill are treated in an environment created specifically for them. Sick Kids allows specialist medical equipment to be bought and also funds artists to create artworks that can help distract from pain and enable children to be treated in an uplifting and child friendly space.
