Adam Hills and Honker help Sick Kids get better!
Internationally acclaimed comedian Adam Hills’ sell-out Edinburgh Festival show ‘Mess Around’ will be given an extra ingredient this week .
The cheeky Australian comedian has asked his audience throughout his shows to help him raise funds for The Sick Kids Friends Foundation. During an early show, Adam was presented with a toy for his young daughter which the audience decided would be called Honker and Adam then decided to use Honker to raise funds for children in hospital. A website and justgiving page have been set up so that Adam's fans can raise much needed funds for the charity and already it has reached the amazing total of over £3000! You can add a donation by going to http://www.justgiving.com/AdamHillsHonkerSickKids

Another way he will be doing this is by auctioning off limited edition IRN-BRU miniature taxis for the charity which have been donated by the brand. IRN-BRU will also be making a cash donation to the charity. He also took Honker to The Real Mary King's Close and collected a donation from them!!
Adam said "I am thrilled to be working alongside Sick Kids Friends Foundation during the festival this year and I love being in Scotland, I’ve been coming to Edinburgh for 14 years.
I have used my shows to raise money for charity back in Australia, and as soon as I asked for a charity to support here, the audience’s response was unanimous - The Sick Kids Friends’ Foundation.
The fact that The Real Mary King's Close and Irn-Bru are helping this cause is really wonderful, and I think the donation of the IRN-BRU taxis will give my show an extra bit of zing. I am going to ask my audience each night this week if they have any famous, Scottish friends who can sign the IRN-BRU taxis before they are auctioned and since everyone in Scotland knows everyone else, you never know who they’re going to get!"
Maureen Harrison from Sick Kids Friends Foundation was thrilled with Adam's fans generosity. "We are delighted that Adam has chosen to support the Sick Kids Friends Foundation at the Edinburgh Festival this year .Everyone who helps him in his quest to raise funds for us will not only be taking part in a fun, unique campaign but will be helping us to continue to help sick kids get better."
