Just wanted to say thanks again to the sick kids. Sarah McBride was in again a few weeks ago to have her plate removed from her hip. We were lucky enough to be out in a couple of days and she's getting around well without the crutches. Still have a way to go with her full recovery. All the staff do an amazing job! Thanks again

I want to thank everyone at Edinburgh Sick Kids who helped my son Jamie many years ago when he was three years old and again when He was twelve....now 19 ... He was back at St Johns, Livingston today with a dislocated knee cap, ligament damage and I saw your magazine in A&E, you all do a wonderful job for all the kids, families and friends. I will be asking my football club to help with donations as we are a Charity and I am sure there many others who have been there as a kid, parent, relative or friend over the years at the Hospital who are grateful to all of you ..... I would like to give something back to a fantastic hospital...thank you again
Kind Regards

My niece was treated at the Sick Kids when she was just two weeks old and the staff were brilliant with her and my sister. She wasn't being treated for anything life threatening, but she did have to return regularly until she was 3 months old. The level of care received was exceptional and the nurses and staff were so kind. Thanks for making the whole experience much easier for them - Keep up the good work

My son has severe Haemophilia A. When he visits Ward 2 at the Sick Kids, his treatment seems so much easier as he can benefit from the great playroom in the ward to keep him occupied. Even when he didn't require treatment at the hospital he would ask us if he could go in to play with the pirate ship! Thanks to the great work of the Sick Kids Friends Foundation they have been able to allocate their charity funds to ensuring that the kid's play areas are attractive, which in turn helps children to relax and have fun in between their treatment periods. Please help to keep your donations rolling in for such a great cause. Thank you SKFF!

Georgie and I would like to say a huge thank you for all the kind care given to Georgie during her lengthly stay at the sick kids ward 7. All of the nurses on the ward are an asset to the hospital and are always smiling! They look after Georgie through the night when I go home to sleep giving me a much needed rest, I feel completely at ease knowing that the night shift will cuddle her if needed, which is a huge relief to me as a tired, stressed mummy! I can't praise the hospital and it's gi consultants/ nurses enough.?I have also made great use out of the drop in centre which has made my stay in hospital so much easier being able to escape the clinical side of things to relax with a coffee and chat to other mums in the same boat as you or just the friendly staff faces, a special thanks to Helen, felicity, nicky and Debbie who have made me feel so welcome. I have also been lucky enough to have benefitted from several massages from Susan the therapist at the drop in centre, which is a lovely way of de-stressing and recognising that mums need some tlc too!
