Teddy Toddle and Summer Fair 2009
Under 6’s will love the Sponsored Teddy Toddle where they can choose their favourite teddy, toddle down Meadowbank running track and raise funds for the Sick Kids.
The Sick Kids Friends Foundation Teddy Toddle and Summer Fair on Sunday the 14th June will see Meadowbank Stadium visited by the stars of Childrens Television. Nina from Nina and the Neurons, Granny Murray from Me Too! and Balamory's Spencer will be coming along to help raise money for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation, a really worthy cause.
The Sick Kids Friends Foundation, Event Fundraiser Lucy Rothwell said "The funds raised will make a huge difference to the lives of children and their parents at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children. The Sick Kids Friends Foundation is involved in many projects including the refurbishment of Ward 2, where children with cancer and leukaemia are treated, helping to provide a multi-sensory playroom, bathroom and an extra cubicle area for the younger patients. The development of these services will make a massive difference to the lives of the children who are undergoing treatment"

Those who are a little older can try their hand at numerous sports day activities courtesy of Scottish Athletics. Our spectators and adult competitors are in for a treat with our new event for 2009 ‘The Stiletto Sprint', open to both sexes with lots of prizes to be won! The days fun doesn't stop there with a bouncy castle, and lots of other stalls, games and activities taking place including a special Teddy Bears Picnic with story tellers.
